Example Post 1

This is an example of a Post

Posts are generally used for news articles, updates and other information that does not warrant a dedicated page. They can be date orientated too so that the more current posts appear at the top of the page displaying the group of posts (Generally the Blog page).

It has been put in the “Brigade News” category. Categories are used to “group” similar posts together. These can then be displayed on “Pages” as groups of “Posts”. Categories can be added at the same time you are writing your “Post” (on the right) or they can be added via the Admin Menu (on the left) – Posts > Categories

It has also been tagged as “Brigade News” and “General News”. Tags can be anything you like, related to the Post you are writing and can be added to the Post on the same screen. Tags can be added at the same time you are writing your “Post” (on the right) or they can be added via the Admin Menu (on the left) – Posts > Tags

Comments have been switched OFF for posts but can be switched on a “per-post” basis or globally for ALL posts.

This first example post has also been classed as “Sticky“. Sticky means that it will always appear at the beginning of the page displaying this group of posts. Otherwise, posts will appear in the order they are written, latest post first.
